It supports connections to a range of satellites, including Meteosat at 0°, Meteosat at 41.5°, Goes satellites at 75° W and 135° W, Himawari-8, as well as the polar orbiting satellites operated by NOAA. Users can choose to view either an entire planet overview or focus on specific regions in high-definition detail. The application offers various image modes, such as visible light, infrared at different wavelengths, and assorted digital image processing standards, allowing for tailored viewing experiences. It maintains a cache system to enable offline access to previously viewed images and employs an online index to update available image data without requiring app updates. The platform also supports automatic recognition and integration of new satellite views and data sources, enhancing usability over time.
